MALE FICTION

The photographic series, MALE FICTION, examines classical representations of male beauty in popular culture and contemporary cinema. The new work acknowledges the familiar tropes and stereotypes of stoically,  inexpressive manhood. Through context, sequencing, and staging, this work seeks to address the ambiguities and complexities beneath the surface associated with male beauty and masculinity.
